Four New Businesses in the Yonkers Downtown


 

Alfonso Alvarez, new owner of the Getty Square Luncheonette, is re-inventing his menu to include tacos and other Mexican specialties.

Robert Wolf of Cablevision 12 news talks to Alfonso and BID Director Steve Sansone at the first of four ribbon-cuttings that were scheduled for November 30th.

Steve prepares to present Alfonso and his wife a plaque from the YDWBID.

The ribbon is cut, the first of four new businesses celebrating in the Yonkers Downtown.

The second ribbon of the day is cut!

Co-owners of Fly Me to the Moon - A Unique Florist, at 47B North Broadway, Dave Martin and Muriel Peters-Davis look on as Steve prepares to present them with a plaque welcoming their new business to the YDWBID.

The ribbon on the third new business is cut!

Dave Martin says a few words to the gathered audience.

Murial, also known as Mimi, is interviewed by Cable12 anchor Robert Wolf.

Last but not least, Anselmo's at 32 South Broadway, is visited by the YDWBID Welcome group and Steve presents the plaque to Alberto Mejia.

The fourth and final ribbon of the day is cut!

Alberto thanks the BID and the City and everyone is invited in for some complimentary tacos.
