In memory of Yonkers Police Officer John Barsi, who was a member of the downtown Bicycle Patrol and an avid fisherman, the BID raised funds for a custom bike rack to be located on the waterfront John loved.On April 25th, the bike rack, which was fabricated by Dero, was installed on the boardwalk just north of the Yonkers Pier and will be dedicated in the near future. A plaque with John's badge number 306, manufactured by Ly-Mac Trophy of Warburton Avenue, will be added to the rack. Stay tuned!
