Gold Star Mothers Memorial Groundbreaking
August 1st, 2006

Despite the intense 3-digit temperature, Mayor Amicone, former Mayors Spencer and Martinelli, NYS Senator Nick Spano, Council Majority Leader McDow, Mrs. Beatrice Duffy (a Gold Star Mother), veterans and other citizens gathered in Larkin Park on August 1st, 2006 to "break ground" for the Gold Star Mothers Memorial. The ground is ceremonially broken for the Memorial site
