To Downtown BID Merchants:

Every year, to encourage shopping in the District, the BID sponsors sidewalk sales which take place on the first Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday of the months of April, May, June, July, August, September and October. Attached, please find the actual dates for each month’s sidewalk sales and their application due dates.

All applications are due a week prior to the sale. Merchants must hand in applications on their due date, if you do not return your application by the due date you will not be able to participate in the sale. The sale will be held rain or shine, there are no reimbursements for inclement weather.

Every Friday of the sale the BID provides live music in the center of the square for a unique shopping experience.

Merchants will NOT be allowed to place merchandise on the sidewalk without a permit – this will be strictly enforced. Merchants who display their merchandise on the street will be given a warning and could possibly receive a ticket from Code Enforcement.

The cost of the permit is:  $50 per month, flat fee rate

The fee covers 4 days of sidewalk sales-which will not be adjusted if you participate less than the 4 days. The BID fee for the sale covers the cost of the City of Yonkers Consumer Protection permit that is required.
